Southampton City Explorers amalgamated in 2006 joining Southampton’s two existing districts together to make Southampton City Explorers. Scouting in Southampton since then has grown in strength and numbers drawing scouts from across the district, we have also noticed new members to Scouting join to, and for the first time made the Southampton Explorer section a strong dynamic team.
2007 brought us closer together still with the Centenary of scouting, 100 years of the scout movement was marked by camps up and down the UK... Europe... and the rest of the world and to take part in Sunrise the main event marking Sir Baden Powell’s conception of the Scouting movement.
Today we have five Explorer sections across the Southampton district offering a range of activities and meet on a weekly basis.
