Southampton City Explorers formed in 2005 when the scout movement revamped the looks and feel of scouting taking the old look of scouting and bringing it in to the millenium. New Uniform, New Sections and New Age groupings:The Explorers section was then started and now has 60+ members in the Southampton District alone. Explorer Scouting is still a charity and relies on fundraising events and membership to enable us to run. We have a number of ways raising funds for ourselves whether it be fetes, bag packs, gift aid, online promotions and our very own Sumo Suits!!!!
In 2007 Southampton City Explorers purchased a sumo wrestling set complete with mat and safety gear. Our Sumo's are availble for Hire!!! click here for more information
